How Do We Get Started?

I Haven’t Copyrighted My Music Yet, Is It Safe?
Absolutely! In fact, if you are submitting original songs to Music Publishers, they will actually ask you to confirm that there is no current copyright registered. This is to save the time, aggravation, and money involved in transferring ownership. Make no mistake, your music is YOUR music. We just want to help you make it as great as it can possibly be. If you are still unsure or feel uncomfortable, you can do what is known as a “Poor Man’s Copyright”. Simply affix your music or song to a tangible medium such as a flash drive or even a CD. Place this inside a sealable manilla envelope, along with lyric sheets or lead charts, and head to the Post Office.
Next, you’re going to make some Postal Worker’s day when you surprise them by mailing this back to yourself! Now as great as your music is, DO NOT OPEN the envelope when you receive it. The envelope will have an Official Postal Stamp on it from a government agency. Leave it sealed. If by some remote chance you ever need proof of authorship in a Court of Law, you would open the envelope at the appropriate moment and present your music along with lyric sheets, etc.
Will You Have Any Ownership or Get Royalties from the Finished Product?
Absolutely not! Again, your music is YOUR music. We provide what is known as a “Work for Hire”. Once our drum tracks are in your possession, our work is done. Now if you want, you can certainly add the drummer’s name to the album credits or in YouTube video descriptions. We would LOVE for people to know that we were involved in helping make your project so AWESOME! However, you do not have to credit professionaldrumtracks.com or the drummer you hired.
Why Should I Hire Your Team and Not Someone from Fiverr?
Our “Track Record” – pun intended – speaks for itself. There’s a seemingly endless list of drummers on Fiverr and that list grows longer every day. If you feel more comfortable working with someone from there, then you should give it a try. Then again, you may be here because you have tried working with a drummer from Fiverr and didn’t have the best experience. Please understand that we have nothing against the platform or anyone doing business there. Many young drummers are getting their start there and we wish them nothing but the best. If you have looked through the drummers available through Fiverr, there must be a reason you’re here.

They enjoy the results of working with seasoned professionals who are always available, even after the project is finished. We charge a fair price for an outstanding service and product. When any person in any service industry charges so little, he or she is forced into chasing the next job. In that scenario, where is there time to have a meaningful dialogue or address concerns and expectations? We work with people who want to work with us and we’re happy to do so.
Do You Offer Revisions?
Yes and No. Allow us to explain. If our interactions have gone correctly, both parties should have a clear understanding of expectations. This means that on our side, we’ve asked all the right questions and addressed any possible concerns. This means on your side that you spent the time explaining to us what you want and expect. While our clients enjoy a fast turnaround time and the results they get, it means that we both spent the necessary time in the planning phase.
There are times when a client may not exactly know what they’re looking for, but know when they get the result they’re after. If we and a client have gone through the pre recording dialogue properly and the client asks for minor changes, we typically offer a revised version at no additional charge. What we don’t do is keep recording more and more versions of drum tracks when a client doesn’t know what they want.
What Is “Drum Tracks Insurance”?
Drum Tracks Insurance is a solution we offer our clients who want options. We will record 3 takes, each will be a slightly different version according to the client’s wishes. This is ideal for producers and artists who may want to release different versions of a song or who may have to hear the finished product before deciding exactly what sounds best to them. We will create a custom plan that allows for revisions and add ons.
What About Additional Percussion Tracks?
Sometimes a piece of music can benefit greatly from some added percussion and we’ve got you covered! Available to our clients are some of the most common instruments and some that may surprise you.
We can add instruments such as:

Do You Charge Extra for Percussion Tracks?
For simple things such as a strategically placed tambourine, shaker, or cowbell the answer is “No”. Sometimes while we’re in “Go Mode” we can easily add a little “Spice and Flavor” to the mix! If you want conga tracks or any other instrument that will be played through the entire song, then yes there is an additional charge.
What Do You Need from Me?
Your best recording of your song in a WAV file, which are the highest quality audio files. If possible, upload stem files, which are the individual tracks. This is the best possible scenario because it allows us to adjust volume levels as needed for recording drum tracks. For example, we may need to raise the volume level of the bass track in order to tightly lock in the kick drum with it. Remember, it’s all about the Groove!
